Above the labyrinth of Gearworks District, Titanomechs lumbered on piston-legs, their searchlights carving through smog—Ironjaw's enforcers hunting the last free rodents. Sprocket's tail coiled around a rusted valve, muscles coiled to spring; one miscalculation now would shred his patchwork armor in those grinding gears. Whispers hummed through his whisker-transmitter—Mistress Cogspinner's last broadcast still looping from the derelict Signal Spire. He needed that transmission key buried in Clockwork Vault's core, needed to reboot the city's stolen power grid before Ironjaw's fusion forge melted the lower warrens. Sprocket bared incisors at the vault's biometric scanner. Time to prove why mice gnawed through empires.
