The rigger in the passenger seat swore violently as his drone feed cut to static, crimson damage indicators painting the cabin in pulsing light. Graffiti-streaked alleys blurred past at suicidal velocity, the AI navigator threading impossible gaps between cargo-transporters while anti-grav turbines screamed at critical overload. Three blocks from the extraction point, the world flipped sideways – screeching metal, bursting containment units, the acrid stench of melting circuitry. Through cracked visor glass, she glimpsed it: the glowing vault-chip still secure in its shockproof case, their ticket to burning the whole damn corporate oligarchy to the ground. Fingers closed around the prize as bootsteps approached through the smoke.
