Cassino, sometimes referred to as Casino, is a classic card game with deceptively straightforward rules that mask its strategic depth. Accessible for all ages, it challenges players to capture cards from the table using matches or combinations that equal the rank of a card in their hand. Builds—modifying existing table piles to set up future captures—add layers of tactical play. In the Daily-5 mode, participants compete in identical card setups, testing skill under uniform conditions. Each round begins with four cards dealt to every player and four placed face-up on the table. Players take turns capturing cards or building on existing piles. After each hand, a fresh set of four cards is dealt until the deck runs out. Any remaining table cards go to the last player who made a capture. Scoring hinges on specific achievements: the Big Cassino (10♦) awards 2 points, Little Cassino (2♠) grants 1, and each Ace seized adds another point. Players also earn 3 points for collecting the most cards, 1 for the most spades, and 1 per Sweep—a move that clears the table entirely. Matches can be played as single games or extended to multi-round contests where the first to reach 21 points claims victory. Quick to learn but demanding sharp decision-making, Cassino blends luck and strategy in a timeless duel of wits.
